Investments
M.L. Moran focuses on investing in middle-market companies with mid- and long-term focus. In its strategy, M.L. Moran is restricted neither geographically nor sector-wise; however we prefer certain sectors and regions.
What makes M.L. Moran different from other investors is its deep managerial experience associated with some of most successful restructurings and development reorganizations in large industrial groups in the Czech Republic. Its founders have, as senior managers at CEO/Board level, successfully led about 25 such projects. Managerial expertise therefore remains one of cornerstones of M.L. Moran's investment approach.
M.L. Moran invests the capital of its founders. Its acquisitions are frequently leveraged buyouts or buy-ins. We can syndicate and form consortia with other partners, institutional or private.
The primary objective for M.L. Moran is to control and manage the companies it invests in. We therefore seek to acquire majority in target companies. As a minority investor, M.L. Moran is always an active investor. In any case, M.L. Moran is always an investor with a clear exit plan.
Structured Finance
M.L. Moran also engages in highly specialized financial transactions. M.L. Moran's largest deals were based on Tolling©. Tolling is an "in-house" developed financial product enabling a secure off-balance sheet financing of companies with limited or no capacity for further debt financing. Tolling was developed particularly for large or middle-market companies.
Real Estate
Since 2004, M.L. Moran has been active in the real estate sector. This activity has gradually grown from being an integral part of investment projects to a specialized business area of M.L. Moran.
